Naturopath & Registered Nurse
If you've never seen a naturopath before, it's completely normal to wonder what the experience involves. A naturopathy consultation is quite different from a standard GP visit — it's longer, more thorough, and focused on understanding the whole picture of your health.
Before Your Consultation
Complete the health intake form. Before we meet, you'll receive a detailed health questionnaire covering your medical history, current symptoms, diet, lifestyle, stress levels, and health goals. Take your time filling this in — the more detail you provide, the more productive our consultation will be.
Have your medications and supplements handy. Bring a list (or the bottles) of everything you're currently taking, including prescription medications, over-the-counter products, and any supplements. This helps me check for interactions and identify gaps.
Write down your top concerns. What brought you here? What's your number-one health frustration? Having a clear priority helps us focus the consultation where it matters most.
Gather any recent test results. If you've had blood tests, imaging, or specialist reports in the last 12 months, have these accessible. I can review them through a naturopathic lens, looking at optimal ranges rather than just "normal" reference ranges.
During Your Consultation
Your initial consultation is a one-hour video call. Here's what we cover:
Health history review. We'll discuss your health timeline — from childhood through to now. Patterns that developed years ago often hold the key to current symptoms.
Current symptoms deep dive. We'll explore your main concerns in detail: when they started, what makes them better or worse, and how they affect your daily life.
Diet and lifestyle assessment. What you eat, how you sleep, your stress levels, exercise habits, and environmental factors all play a role in your health picture.
Health protocol discussion. By the end of the consultation, I'll outline the approach I recommend. This typically includes a combination of herbal medicine, clinical nutrition, dietary adjustments, and lifestyle modifications.
After Your Consultation
Within a few days, you'll receive:
Your personalised protocol. A written health support protocol detailing recommended supplements, herbal formulas, dietary changes, and lifestyle strategies — all tailored to your specific needs.
Supplement recommendations. If practitioner-grade supplements are part of your plan, I'll recommend specific products at therapeutic doses. These are evidence-based formulations not available over the counter.
Follow-up schedule. Most clients benefit from a follow-up at 4–6 weeks to assess progress and adjust the plan. Complex cases may need more frequent check-ins initially.
Ongoing support. Between appointments, you can email me with quick questions about your protocol.
