Terms of Service

Last updated: February 2026

1. About This Service

Naturopathy NZ is operated by Peta Carter, a Registered Naturopath (BHSc, Adv Dip Naturopathy, Herbal Medicine and Nutrition) and Registered Nurse. Online naturopathic consultations are provided via video call to clients in New Zealand and Australia.

2. Not a Substitute for Medical Advice

Naturopathic consultations are complementary to, and not a replacement for, conventional medical care. The information and recommendations provided during consultations are for general wellness purposes and should not be considered medical diagnosis or treatment.

You should always consult your GP or specialist for medical concerns, and you should not discontinue any prescribed medication without first consulting your doctor. If you are experiencing a medical emergency, call 111 (NZ) or 000 (AU) immediately.

3. Bookings and Payment

  • Consultations are booked through our online scheduling system (Calendly).
  • All prices are listed in New Zealand Dollars (NZD).
  • Payment is required at the time of booking or as invoiced after your consultation.
  • Prices may change from time to time. The price at the time of booking applies to your appointment.

4. Cancellations and Rescheduling

We understand plans change. We ask that you provide at least 24 hours' notice if you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment.

  • Cancellations with less than 24 hours' notice may incur a cancellation fee of up to 50% of the consultation price.
  • Missed appointments without notice (“no-shows”) may be charged the full consultation fee.
  • To cancel or reschedule, please use the link in your Calendly confirmation email or contact us at peta@naturopathy.nz.

5. Online Consultations

  • Consultations are conducted via video call. You are responsible for ensuring you have a stable internet connection and a private space for your appointment.
  • If technical issues prevent the consultation from proceeding, we will reschedule at no additional cost.
  • Consultations are not recorded unless expressly agreed upon by both parties.

6. Supplements and Products

Peta may recommend practitioner-grade supplements as part of your treatment plan. These recommendations are tailored to your individual health needs. You are not obligated to purchase any recommended products. Supplement recommendations do not replace prescribed medications.

7. Confidentiality

All information shared during consultations is treated as confidential. Your health information will not be shared with third parties without your consent, except where required by law. For more detail, please see our Privacy Policy.

8. Limitation of Liability

Naturopathy NZ provides naturopathic advice in good faith based on professional training and clinical experience. We do not guarantee specific health outcomes. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Naturopathy NZ is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of our services.

9. Intellectual Property

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of our services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
